1. Flame-retardant FRP daylighting panels are mainly used in steel-making plants in the metallurgical industry and occasions with furnaces, high temperature, open flames, fire splashing, or some special occasions with flame retardant requirements.

2. The flame-retardant series of FRP lighting panels currently produced by Mcwell are divided into two types: first-level flame-retardant (oxygen index ≥ 30) and second-level flame-retardant (oxygen index ≥ 26). The first-level flame-retardant daylighting board of natural ventilator is produced by using a resin containing flame-retardant components in the molecular structure (also called reactive flame-retardant resin); the second-level flame-retardant resin daylighting board is produced by using a flame-retardant additive (also called an additive type). 

3. Flame-retardant FRP daylighting panels, compared with general daylighting panels, due to the presence of flame-retardant components in the resin material, its aging resistance and yellowing resistance are slightly inferior. After testing, after one year, the second-level flame-retardant daylighting panels will show signs of yellowing, and the first-level flame-retardant daylighting panels will show slight yellowing (the second-level flame-retardant is more likely to turn yellow than the first-level flame-retardant). The yellowing will become more obvious with the passage of time.

4. Flame-retardant daylighting panels are more prone to yellowing than general-purpose FRP daylighting panels, but they will not affect the lighting effect. Only the light transmittance will decrease with the increase of the service life. There is no guarantee that the light transmittance will only lost 3%~10%. However, yellowing does not mean the end of the life of the daylighting board, and the mechanical properties of the daylighting board such as the mechanical strength are basically unchanged, and it can still meet its use requirements, so the warranty period promised by McWay remains unchanged.
