Recently, Mcwell's customer service has received many inquiries about the load of smoke vents. Users need to consider it when design it.
The shape and structure, material selection, and material specifications are the three key factors that affect the weight of the smoke vents. The appearance structure is the structural form, which can be roughly divided into three categories: low-profile ventilator, streamlined natural ventilator, and electric smoke ventilator. Different external structures determine different internal structures and different materials. The self-weight load is naturally different. Even if the same external structure and different materials are selected, the self-weight load is different. For example, the self-load of steel and aluminum alloy is different. At the same time, the dead weight load is also affected by the size of the specification. Generally speaking, the larger the size of the specification, the smaller the dead weight load per square meter.
The low-profile natural ventilator is mainly composed of skeletons, flood panels, rain-proof panels, outer guards, water collection tanks, etc. Its own load is about 30kg-35kg per square meter. The floating space is mainly due to the influence of materials and specifications.
The streamlined roof ridge vent is composed of main components such as skeleton, flooding board, outer guard board, rainproof board, etc., and its self-weight load range is 40-50kg per square meter.
The electric smoke vent rooflight is composed of windows, openable sashes and electric window opening system, and its own load is about 25kg-30kg per square meter.
