The standard installation and construction of outer guards, rain shields and flooding boards by Mcwell is an important guarantee for the rainproof ability of smoke vents:

First, adjust the panels to the roof installation position according to the design drawings. Generally, the installation starting point should be the reverse position of the annual maximum frequency wind direction.

Second, after determining the installation direction, first install and fix the sealing plate at the end, then install the first plate in place and fix it, ensuring that it is perpendicular to the purlin.

Third, the second board should overlap with the convex edge of the first board when installing. The MCW5 type steel roof ridge vent is checked to ensure that the outer edges of the two boards are in complete contact and are straight, so as to ensure that the overlap is intact, and it is sealed with a belt. The self-tapping screw of the ring is connected with the purlin.

Fourth, the self-tapping galvanized screws are used to fix the color-coated steel plate and the C purlin. The reliability of the fixation is directly related to the quantity, spacing and connection quality of the connecting pieces. It is necessary to set up a place with waterproof sealing material, and the laying is good to ensure that there is no water leakage between the boards. Fifth, the lap length of the short sides of the color steel plates of the outer protective plate, flashing plate, drainage channel, and water ditch should be ≥200mm. In order to improve the weather resistance of the overlapped part, apply two coats of weather-resistant mortar on the overlapped part, and then fasten it with self-tapping screws or rivets with sealing rings, with a spacing of ≤300mm.
