The material of natural roof ventilation's lighting panel is mainly made of PP, PC, PET, APET, or PVC. Commonly used waveforms are 760/840/930/950/1050/1130. The daylighting board is fixed by aluminum profile fasteners, and the wave-shaped daylighting board is fixed by the daylighting board bracket and self-tapping screws, and then glued and sealed. Next, I will talk about the role of the smoke vent skylights' lighting board and what needs to be paid attention to when install it.

1. The role of daylighting board

The full name of FRP daylighting panel is glass fiber reinforced polyester daylighting panel. Its function is similar same the window glass. The main function is to collect natural light and increase the lighting effect of the production workshop, the FRP daylighting panel has a wave-like shape and has a higher light transmittance than a flat daylighting panel. It can cut off more than 50% of ultraviolet rays. The collected natural light is diffusely scattered, so the light is soft.

2. What to pay attention to when install the lighting board

2.1. A matching special foam plug should be installed between the lighting board and the sandalwood strip to support and protect the lighting board. The daylighting board should generally be distributed in a single strip, and its lateral sides should be overlapped with the corrugated ribs of the adjacent profiled board, and sealed with double-sided butyl tape.

2.2. It is not recommended to overlap the roof where the roof slope is less than 3%. The overlap length of the smoke vent skylights daylighting board should not be less than 30mm, and the overlap length of the wall daylighting board should not be less than 200mm. It is recommended to use two double-sided butyl tape for the overlap. 

2.3. The fixing nails of the daylighting board should have EPDM waterproof gaskets: before nailing, an electric drill must be used to ream the holes, so that the aperture of the daylighting board is 3mm-5mm larger than the diameter of the self-tapping screw to allow the daylighting board to expand and contract.
